Marc Vinciguerra is a Parisian artist living in America. He has both a masters in Philosophy of Religions from the Sorbonne in Paris and is a graduate of the Florence Academy of Art. His work strives to fuse philosophy and art in monumental figurative installations. His work has been exhibited alongside architectural icons including Richard Meier (Pritzker Price and architect of the Getty Museum) as well as other notable artists. His sculptural installation has been qualified as ‘’extraordinary’’ by Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. Marc Vinciguerra also has a big following with philosophers and writers, winning The Alpine Fellowship Visual Prize in 2014. This visionary prize reconnects art and philosophy and is hosted by philosopher and BBC host (Why Beauty Matters) Sir Roger Scruton. Vinciguerra is also a lecturer. He has been invited to lecture in several American Universities as well as at the Foundation Cini in Venice and has written articles on the future of Art for the Florentine magazine in Florence, Italy. For five years in a row, Vinciguerra has been invited to give lectures, demonstrations and show an autobiographical movie about his sculpture at the Foundation Cini. Breaking the wall that separates traditional and contemporary art, Vinciguerra reunites both with the skill of a renaissance artist and the forethought of a 21st Century philosopher. Revolutionary in his treatment of the figurative, he transforms figurative art into conceptual installations; described by curators as figurative installations. As conceptual figurations, his work commands an environment where life-size figures envelope and engender a philosophical experience to the viewer. Marc Vinciguerra fuses the past and the future together to redefine the figure and its relevance in contemporary art. The catalogue of his last exhibition has been published at 12000 copies. Marc Vinciguerra is represented by Markowicz Fine Arts in Miami Beach, Florida.
