Nadya Vi

Nadya Vi is a visual artist whose practice explores the hidden structures of reality, the instability of perception and the transformation of space through light, reflection and movement.

Her artistic vision was shaped by an unusual combination of mathematical thinking and visual sensitivity. She holds a university degree in mathematics, specializing in higher algebra and geometry. Her diploma research focused on the behavior of curves within Lorentzian manifolds — mathematical spaces where three dimensions of space and time are interconnected, forming the foundation of the geometric description of spacetime in modern physics.

This experience shaped her unique perception of space, movement and transformation. The same questions that once led her to study mathematical structures continue in her artistic practice: how forms change, how space can be perceived differently, and how reality can reveal hidden dimensions.

Through photography and painting, Nadya Vi creates visual worlds where reflection becomes a passage between realities, water becomes a changing space, and a moment becomes a threshold between what is visible and what is only imagined. Her practice explores transformation as a quiet force — not a rupture, but a gradual change that reveals new dimensions of perception.

Her photographic series Liquid Horizon is a continuation of this exploration — an investigation of water as a space where boundaries dissolve and perception enters a state of transformation. The presented series represents an ongoing artistic investigation rather than a closed body of work.
