Anastasiia Lodde is a contemporary artist based in Copenhagen

I was born and raised in a small village on the border between Ukraine and Russia with boundless steppes and raging rivers around. This unique and subtle interaction with fragile nature always inspired me during my eight-year studies of classical art techniques in the local school.

That's why when I moved to Copenhagen, I fell in love with the city that deeply cares about sustainable living and successfully tackles environment-related challenges. And my art journey acquired a new profound meaning based on the impressions of the daily routine in the happiest city.

After the 24th of February 2022, I feel ashamed and disgusted after the authoritarian government of my motherland started a bloody war against my second homeland that's why a substantial part of my recent artworks is also dedicated to the basic values of human life and freedom.
