In my childhood, I feel in love with the artist studio of my aunt where she painted and sculpted. At a young age, I was already moulding wax and experimenting with paint. Adult life however, took me away from the arts. I became a coach and healer, and later a family constellator and teacher. I wrote and published three books about my journey. Still, I kept my boxes with paints and brushes, promising myself one day I would again use them. When my girls were in high school, I took a first painting class, and soon after enrolled at Wackers academy in Amsterdam where I learned to draw, paint and sculpt from life. I have a deep passion for form and colour. And for people. Human nature never seizes to amaze me, with its sheer range of different behaviors, emotions, thinking, expressions. In my work, I attempt to catch people’s essence, show their uniqueness, and a glimpse into their souls.
