For Patrizia the love of photography was born with the first camera, a gift from her father, and fed in all his travels. She attend DAMS of the University of Bologna and this choice change her relationship with the medium of photography.No more searching for "pretty pictures" but, as would say Giacomelli, of "secret scriptures".Inspired by the avant-garde of the early twentieth century by the Surrealists and in particular the artistic work of Man Ray approaches the black and white printing in the darkroom.In the early nineties began the research on the possibilities of the photographic medium, experiences the interaction with other languages of the visual arts and the use of recycled materials.She builds photographic objects, mosaics bi-dimensional and, in recent works, visual sequences in which the crushing of the real, repetition and seriality are proposed as stylistic means to investigate and represent the areas of relationships and memory, spirituality and symbolism urban fabric, landscape and changes in the reality that the photographic medium and its expressive ambiguity, by its very nature produces.Her work is included in the permanent collection of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Region of Valle d'Aosta present at Gamba Castle of Chatillon.She has exhibited in Italy and abroad.She currently lives and works in Valle d'Aosta.
