Anton Usanov & Dmytro Barulin

Anton Usanov (b. 1990, Samara, Russia) is a visual artist working primarily with digital photography and video, currently living and working in Paris. He began photographing at the age of sixteen, developing a sensitivity to light, natural rhythms, and the human presence. In 2022, Usanov emigrated from Russia and continued his professional and artistic practice in an international context. Between 2022 and 2025, he travelled across Europe and Southeast Asia in search of a new artistic language and a sense of home. He studied at the Institute of Visual Arts IVA. His practice develops within staged and conceptual photography, where the image is understood as a constructed reality. Usanov’s works have been published in Artells, Holm, Mob, and Al-Tiba9, and exhibited in the USA, Thailand, Spain and Russia. He is currently focused on WILD, a multimedia project combining photography and video.

Dmytro Barulin is a photographer and creative director based in Dallas, Texas. I was born in 1984 in the small town of Balta in the Odesa region of Ukraine. The dream of becoming a photographer had been with me since childhood. When I was 13 or 14, I saw a box featuring a camera in the window of a new Kodak store; I couldn't stop thinking about that coveted item all summer long. My family couldn't afford such a gift, so I took on odd jobs and saved up money throughout the two months of summer vacation. Once I had the necessary amount, I happily ran to the store and asked the clerk to take the box out of the window display. It was every penny I had; upon opening the box, I discovered an excellent camera bag - but the camera itself was missing. I felt deep disappointment and sadness at that moment, yet my passion for photography and art never faded. As time went on, I spent 14 years searching for my calling, working in fields ranging from education to entrepreneurship, until I finally bought my first real Canon DSLR. That was when I remembered my childhood dream, which became my guiding light for years to come. My mission is to help the beauty I see in the world around me retain its value in an era of global "beauty inflation."
