Egor Lovki was born 1997 in Nabereznye Chelny, Republic Tatarstan, Russia. A little provincial city with industrial focus. Later in his years he moved to the capital of Tatarstan Republic - Kazan. In consequence to the realization of his homeland's position and a variety of inner and outer conflicts, the decision to move abroad was made.
Since 2015, Egor Lovki lives and works in Vienna, Austria. After studying transcultural communication and art history, he has been a student at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in the class „Painting and Animated Film“ with Judith Eisler since 2020.
In his artistic practice, Lovki explores intertwined phenomena of societal and personal insecurity and ambivalence. He asks questions about normative identity, hierarchical structures, and existing value systems marked by conflict.
His mediums range from oil painting and mosaic to sculpture and installation, mixing and exploring structural and technical elements and surfaces.
