Rak Unánue

Rak Unánue (Puebla, Mexico) is a visual artist whose work revolves around the Narrative of the Brushstroke. A former lawyer, she transformed her life path through a profound personal journey, turning memory, grief, and alchemy into a unique pictorial language. Each brushstroke is an imprint of energy, vitality, and emotion in motion, inviting viewers to recognize themselves and build their own story before the canvas.

Her practice explores themes of survival, duality, expansion, and light, while integrating references to art history, alchemy, and intimate family experiences. She has exhibited in Mexico and abroad, developing projects ranging from large-scale painting to interventions, art objects, and curatorial proposals.
