Laura Patricia
Ulloa Báez (Chichigalpa, Nicaragua, May 6, 1972) is a visual artist with over
three decades of international experience in sculpture, ceramics, and painting.
In 1978, due
to armed conflict in Nicaragua, she emigrated with her family to Tegucigalpa,
Honduras, where she obtained Honduran nationality. She completed her studies at
José Santos Guardiola Primary School and Vicente Cáceres Central Institute.
Later, she trained at the National School of Fine Arts (ENBA), where she earned
a Master’s degree in Plastic Arts, and at the National Pedagogical University
Francisco Morazán (UPNFM), where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in
Secondary Education in Art with a focus on Plastic Arts.
Since 2008,
she has resided in Italy, where she acquired Italian nationality, expanding her
artistic reach in Europe.

Artistic Statement
Through work
that moves between sculpture, ceramics and painting, Laura Patricia Ulloa Báez
explores identity, memory and expressivity of the human form, consolidating an
active presence in contemporary art of Latin America and Europe.
