Everything is dual in our world and everything can make a couple. “All religions, arts and science are branches of the same tree”, - as Albert Einshtein said. Great news: art is not obligatory to be connected with congenital madness, drugs or instability. I, Ulia, make my art using systematic mind and inspiration by family, nature or history. I believe that art is not a chaos of ideas but a friendship of logic and inspiration. I’m so called a two-brain person. I’m in love with logic and systems since childhood when I was studying in a physics-mathematics school and Art School at once. Since that time painting became my passion forever. I declare that everything is dual in the world and everything has a couple partner. My inner artist survived while I was studying as an architect in the State University of Land Use Planning. I liked architectural drawings with its precisions and accuracy. Therefore to satisfy my real passion I enrolled in Stroganov University, the most prestigious artistic university In Russia where I graduated from. After my graduation I got married with my husband, an Egyptian artist, scientist and a writer. He gave a new vector to my life and my art. My world became so much wider and more tolerant. I got acquainted to Eastern Islamic and Arab culture from an absolutely different angle. My Russian soul was enriched with two cultures.Since university time I knew that I’m in love with painting people, especially their portraits. I participated several local exhibitions and got lots of commission orders. I felt that I have enough knowledge to share with people and I opened my own art workshop which successfully works since 2010. In 2017 I participated an ecological and social event called “Garbage fashion” which took part in Moscow in Gorky Park. Since 2016 I started to make monumental paintings on walls for private and public places. Nowadays I’m working on series portraits and studying a watercolor technique. The modern world is very broad and picturesque. It’s an eternal source of tasks and subjects, studies and researches. I’m very keen on sharing ideas of finding peace between almost incompatible things and ideas with all of my viewers in our modern energetic and aggressive world.
