Marisa Ulcigrai has an artistic career that deals with
cinema and photography.
Among her social reportages is the solo exhibition ”Ricordando Federico”, a photo tribute to Federico Fellini a year after his death and the collective art exhibition “Trieste dei manicomi” where the artist together with other 19 photographers shows the revolutionary experience made by the pshychiatrist Franco Basaglia at the San Giovanni mental hospital of Trieste.In 2008 she is one of founders of
FOTOGRAFAREDONNA an association of female photographers.These artists work on a a research project on the identity and creativity of women.She is a member of SISF (Italian Society for
study of Photograpy) She attended the International Center of Photography in
New York, the Atelier Video at the Center of Photography Pompidou in Paris and
she has a degree in History of Cinema.
