Wanda Tunjić-Perić

Wanda Tunjic Perić (artistic name of Vanda Perić) is an artist and illustrator whose work combines figurative painting, illustration, and emotional symbolism. She graduated in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Textile Technology, yet painting has always remained her primary form of artistic expression. Through her work, she explores the inner world of emotions, silence, femininity, and the relationship between human beings and the unseen forces that guide them through life. While her earlier works were predominantly created in acrylics, known for their vibrant colors and expressive energy, her latest series, Silence, embraces watercolor as the medium that most authentically conveys lightness, serenity, and inner balance.

In this application, she presents the series Silence, a cycle of five interconnected watercolor paintings that explore an inner journey through emotions, trust, acceptance, and peace. Viewed as a whole, the works form a cohesive visual narrative about the process of inner transformation and the search for balance.

Wanda Tunjic Perić has held several solo exhibitions in Croatia and Slovenia and has also participated in a group exhibition in Slovenia. Alongside painting, she works as an illustrator and caricature artist. She is the author and illustrator of a children's picture book, for which she independently wrote the text and created all illustrations. She has also illustrated a poetry collection, including the cover artwork and thirteen interior illustrations, exploring the connection between poetic language and visual expression. Her work invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and discover beauty within moments of stillness and contemplation.
