Wood Sculptor – Visual Artist
Short Biography
I was born and live in Athens. Since
2013, wood sculpture has not merely been an artistic practice for me; it is a
way of being — a means of communication that transcends words and touches the
deepest layers of the human soul. With devotion and an inner necessity, I carve
wood in search of a language that is not limited by logic, but flows freely,
conveying emotions, memories, and lived experiences.
Wood is a living organism with memory
and history. Every carving upon it is a dialogue, a revelation of its hidden
potential. Through each of my works, I strive to highlight the balance between
matter and the immaterial — to express the movement of the soul through forms
that speak directly to the viewer’s emotions.
The process of wood sculpting leads me
on a journey beyond the obvious, beyond the boundaries of materiality, into a
state where art becomes an inner revelation. Every form that emerges from the
wood is a moment of harmony, a psychic vibration that connects past and
present, the tangible with the invisible.
With every piece I create, I seek a
conversation with the viewer — to make them feel, to hear the silence of
matter, to discover their own extensions through the carvings and shapes. To
touch that which often remains unspoken, yet is always present: the inner
truth.
