Steve Timms was born in Manchester, UK, in the mid 60's. He studied graphic design at Oldham Art College, and Theatre Studies at the University of Huddersfield. He is a writer as well as an artist, and his work has appeared in The Independent, City Life magazine, The Big Issue, The Skinny, Storgy, Little White Lies, and Quays Life. He is the author of several plays including American Beer (BBC Radio 4), Temp/Casual (Contact Theatre), Detox Mansion (24-7 Festival),:and The Distance Between Stars (Studio Salford). He is the winner of a Northern Writer's Award and recipient of the Peggy Ramsay Bursary. As an artist, he mostly creates mixed media collages, the old fashioned way, using scissors and glue; later, the images are enhanced digitally. Some of his work can be purchased from the Underdog Print Shop. He still lives in Manchester.
