After graduating from the University of the Arts 'Constantijn Huygens' (now Artez Zwolle), I developed as a designer and artist. My broad background in graphic, spatial, product and interior as well as free design has taught me to look at diverse challenges in a creative way. Always looking for innovative, goal-oriented and suitable solutions.
Because I like to work with new and diverse materials as a designer, I started to delve into tufting graphic rugs/tapestry/wall hangings about 2,5 years ago. Tufting is an age-old technique in which you use a 'tufting gun' to shoot loops (long/short piles) of materials such as wool, acrylic and cotton through a cloth. So... The computer on the cupboard and a tufting gun in my hand! I keep shooting until my designs come to life as graphic rug/tapestry/wall hangings. Each piece is original, unique and timeless. In which art and functionality (improvement of the acoustics) come together. In terms of atmosphere and appearance, you get a touch of the seventies mixed with the now and the future. Suits perfect for your home, chill-, work- and/or safe place.
