Bad Talents

Bad Talents is the creative identity of mixed-media artist Shelby Alexander, who lives and works in Los Angeles. She earned a degree in Visual Art (Painting) from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 and participated in the Winter 2024-25 Artist Residency at Art Share L.A. Her latest body of work was created this summer during the Château d’Orquevaux Residency Program in Champagne-Ardenne, France, where she explored texture, color, and a looser painting style. Inspired by the natural beauty and quiet rhythm of the French countryside, the series reflects a shift toward more intuitive, expressive brushwork.
