I remember that my first artistic fascination was painting. However, during my studies at UAP, I started searching for a new way of depicting the third dimension in my works. This search resulted in my diploma work, which was a three dimensional painting installation dedicated to a specific space. Back then, I also become interested in technology and so called “new media”. I started using various sources of light in my works - projectors “releasing” images, heaters, pumps, motors, controllers, as well as various sensors, movement detectors and thermostats which controlled those elements.  I also started using images in my work -  analogue slides and short videos at the beginning. The technological progress that I witnessed, made it certainly much easier for artists to realise some projects, which used to be either technologically demanding or too expansive in the past. Many of them are structural hybrids, combining various (now available) media and technologies. This is also my case - I am trying to use this recent opportunity in a possibly creative way. I had many solo exhibitions and featured in a broad range of group exhibitions and art projects in Poland and abroad. I have been working at the University of Arts in Poznan since 1987.
