Her family were committed to classical music believing in homeopathic medicine while being raised on a goat dairy. Her father died at the age of 69 when she was four where her mother continued to support her love for the visual language. Sunanday's talent was early on recognized in her juried shows leading her to cultivate her interest in several art institutions. Sunanday's experience in many faucets of human life started to present thinking about quality of life in connection with art. She attended a medical university to study psychology and art therapy. Her development of her personal expression led her to the commitment for realism.
