Dominique Suberville, b. 1989, is an interdisciplinary artist from Monterrey, México. She graduated with a BFA from Parsons The New School for Design. She subsequently received her MA in Sociology from The New School for Social Research (NSSR), in New York. She also studied the Short Course in Art History, Criticism, and Curating at Central Saint Martins University in London. In 2020 she participated in the collective exhibition Memoria Corporeizada at the Museo Centenario de Monterrey; was selected for the XL National Youth Art Encounter 2020, by the City Gallery in Aguascalientes and the National Center for the Arts (CENART) in Mexico City. In the same year, she was also selected for the 2nd Nuevo León State Prize, Centro de las Artes, Monterrey. Suberville is a recipient of the LIFTS award and her work is part of the WEST Collection for international emerging art in Philadelphia, USA. In 2020 she had her first solo exhibition, Líbranos del Mal, at ElExpendio in Monterrey, MX. In 2021, she will be part of her first international exhibition at the PROYECTOR 14th Festival de Videoarte in Madrid, will participate in a collective exhibition by curator Xavier Moyssén at Pinacoteca, in Monterrey, and was recently shortlisted for the Sunny Art Centre Prize 2022. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
