Linda Storm is an
award-winning, internationally recognized artist, and advocate of diversity in
arts and culture.
Her creative
collaborations include book and album covers, murals, and projections. Her art
was also licensed by The Santa Fe Youth Symphony. As of April 5th, 2022, she is
a featured artist of See/Me, a global arts organization based in NYC. During the
pandemic she donated small paintings to recovering hospitalized Covid patients,
and focused on researching and creating paintings of ancient healing goddesses.
Her painting of Mayan goddess Ixchel titled “She Weaves Remedies” gained international
recognition on Artsy from DAB Art, and a cash prize from Mozaik Philanthropy. In
early 2020, she was commissioned to paint a 60-foot mural in the home of one of
her collectors. In 2019 and 2020 she received The People’s Choice Award as Top
Artist, by the Albuquerque Journal North. In 2018, Linda was invited to debut
her goddess series in Italy. She titled the exhibit, The Feminine Almighty. Since
2017, Linda created art for projection during the New Mexico Platinum Music
Awards.
From 2013-2016
Linda created paintings with Cuban artist Pablo Perea. In 2012 she opened her
first gallery and curated it with the work of 10 multicultural, global artists.
Linda carries the
dreams of her immigrant ancestors within her, and is inspired by the realization
that we are all specks in the cosmos, made of the same elements as the universe.
“I often visit the
evening sky to feel its hope and eternity. It beckons me to see my world from
its perspective. Hope transforms my anger at stupidity, war, greed, and bigotry
into art. I am healed by the dark.” Linda Storm
