Urszula Stencel, Polish artist, lives and works in Cracow. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and the Study of Liturgical Art/Painting at Pontifical Academy of Teology in Cracow. She also developed her artistic skills during numerous painting, drawing, sculpture and graphic art courses. Professionally she dealth with digital graphics -design, advertisement, space and interior design, as well as implementation and supervision of these projects.
However painting is her greatest passion and the most fascinating form of creating. By painting, Urszula discovers not only the real world, but also parallel worlds that can be felt under the skin or seen reflected on the glass for a fraction of a second in the corner of the eye. Light and the lack of it, and their mutual influences, try to dominate her works, but they are only a pretext for conveying feelings, emotions, impressions...
She paints mainly with oils, less often with acrylics, and likes to use inks that allow for freedom of expession. Participant of several group and two indyvidual exhibitions. Her paintings are in numerous private collections. She is the winner of the "Young Art in the Old Town VI" competition, New Era Art Gallery, Pałac Pod Baranami, Cracow (2021).
