Paolo Staccioli was born in Rome in 1963 and spent his youth
between Tuscany and Ravenna, where the clear light of the sky and the
iridescence of the Byzantine mosaics exercised a lasting influence on
his imagination. He currently lives in Palermo, after twenty years of
permanence in Amsterdam, where he began to practice as a photographer.
In 2015 he began to experiment with light and to focus his attention on
abstract photography.
He was member of the Rembrandt Art Market in Amsterdam until 2018, when he was selected as one of the
100 winners of the GUP Magazine –
New Dutch Photo Talents 2018. His photos were displayed at solo and
collective exhibitions in Amsterdam, anthological exhibitions where held
in Palermo (Carini, 2020, Gangi 2024) and Bologna (2023).
