Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1972.
She is a visual artist and cultural manager.
Art understood as language is not only for Mariela Soldano the possibility of communicating
with the world, but also understanding it through the production of her own system of signs.
Although at 20 years of age she makes herself visible as a feminist, she currently identifies with
the neo-humanist philosophy, an integrating vision of the world that includes anti-racism, nonviolence and other movements in defense of human rights such as inclusion, valuing diversity
and environment.
Always having art as a guide and structure of thought, her professional life leads her to travel
first in the world of communication and design, with two undergraduate degrees in these
areas to her credit. However, at the
age of 40 she decides that it is time for art to occupy not only his
inner life but also his professional life exclusively, counting now with many postgraduate courses in contemporary art besides a Master's Degree in Design of Cultural Experiences. Univ. de Valencia) She's is also the founding director of PUERTAS ADENTRO casa de artista, an independent space for art in Uruguay.
During the year 2022, she held an individual exhibition at the Atelier Gallery in Punta del Este, (Uruguay), she was selected at the CAAT National Salon of Textile Art, Gender and Rights, (Argentina) and awarded at the Colonia Biennial of Contemporary Art (Uruguay). In 2023, she exhibited her works at the Azur Gallery in Madrid, (Spain) and was selected for the #8M project in Montevideo (Uruguay). In 2024 she will participate in the Fresh Air Sculpture Biennial in Quenington (England). Her works are part of the Climate Art Collection, Berlin, (Germany), Francaise Alliance in Montevideo (Uruguay) and private collections in Argentina, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Uruguay.
