I was born in Ulm, Germany and grew up in Bologna, Italy and Lugano, Switzerland.
Torn between music and painting, after meeting Joseph Beuys at Dokumenta in Kassel and joining the discussion forum of his "Free International University", I enrolled at the Conservatory in Milan where I studied Composition with Maestro Niccolò Castiglioni and later at University in Venice where I studied Philosophy with Prof. Emanuele Severino. In fact Beuys, curiously advised me at that time to rather study music or philosophy, if possible both, which would have served me a lot more in the future, he said, also to become an artist and I took his advice pretty seriously.
In the '90 's with my friend Michael Vetter, a German musician and multimedia artist, I deepened the art of calligraphic art which then took us to Korea, Taiwan and Japan where we developed our own personal style which we then integrated in our works.
Aside from painting and creating visual sound installations, I composed and produced several recordings most of them for my independent record label (www.amiatarecords.com). Back in Europe I settled in the Tuscan countryside near Siena, then in Rome. Since 2016 I live and and work near Todi, Umbria, Italy.
