My name is Amara and I am from Lahore, Pakistan. I am an Illustrator, a Graphic Designer and a Street Photographer. Education wise, I have done my MFA in Visual Communication from University of the Punjab in 2015. Currently I am working as a Senior Art Director in Ogilvy Pakistan on Coca Cola. Apart from that I am working on a series of paintings highlighting the Women Empowerment. My paintings and drawings have appeared in dozens of Magazines as well as in London and Pakistan and my artwork is currently featured in Capsule International Magazine (Drawn Volume 3). My artwork evokes emotions that have been drawn from my experiences and I feel that my paintings and drawings offer something important to the art world that no one else can offer. At the moment, my art is heavily focused on symbolism and the human form, both of which I use to explore concepts of vulnerability, identity, anxiety, repression, and freedom. Currently I am focused on pushing the space between line work, shapes, and painting to create a sense of fluidity, density, and form. My interests include ecology, conservation, and social equality; all of which I actively pursue in my free time, both within and outside the confines of my artistic practice. I believe that exposure to and interaction with my art would be a great opportunity to your surrounding community.
