I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, and have been drawing and painting since I was a child. I moved to the US when I was about 20, and have studied and worked in the natural sciences and ecological field for the past 20 years. I have made Fairbanks, Alaska home. I have no formal training in art, but painting has always been a part of my life. I draw inspiration from inside, and from the natural world, and often use animals as symbols to try to represent a certain feeling or aura, in an attempt to describe the human psyche.
