Ricotta studio is a dreamlike reality, characterised by the lack of a real identity. In fact, identity is not important, the important thing is the paradoxical narrative that the objects tell, that is mouldable according to the idea it impersonates. He lives through a cauldron of ideas that manifest themselves to the world through a playful and sympathetic representation that gives a glimpse into what the creative process is all about.
The scenarios are characterised by archetypal forms that are translated into everyday objects, contextualised in places that recall space or parallel worlds with bright colours and distortions of reality. They call the observer to a more intimate and personal view of the objects, evoking in the individual a fantastic and bizarre imagery, contextualized in places that recall parallel and futuristic worlds with bright colors and distortions of reality. Giving them a simple and innate meaning, what should be communicated through design.
The objects created by Ricotta Studio recall ideas drawn by a cartoon animator. Behind this “cartoonization” is the process of simplifying complex shapes, which are subsequently intersected. It is a very intense relationship between plastic and elastic materials - soft and rigid - and the changes that occur when tension or pressure is applied. Oversized proportions and exaggeration are the key words in contemporary fashion, design and music. Inspired by these new dictates Ricotta moves away from the lightness of thin lines by heading toward an abundant revolution of the same.
