Artist Statement:
Tension belts are synthetic woven webbings used to restrain objects, to ensure that safe transport is guaranteed. The belts can secure loads under enormous pressure. The human being is made of fragile organic interwoven material which can communicate with each other.
Curiosity, movement, discovery, flexibility, adjustment – freedom.
Change.
Transformation.
Triggering all senses is my focus in order to immerse and interact.
Reflection pushes me forward.
Interwoven structures, loose ends and organic shapes are the opposite attributes of tensions belts which drive my transformative installations. The adaptation to new conditions and spaces requires change. So, each work develops and opens new perspectives, possibilities and meaning. It thrives.
