Tania Scott is a German-American artist based in Brooklyn whose work transforms newspapers into sculptural “living clocks” and cultural codices. Treating time itself as a medium, Scott creates works that evolve physically as the materials yellow and culturally as their embedded headlines shift in meaning. Her practice bridges printmaking, sculpture, and conceptual design, reflecting on visibility, power, and cultural memory.
Scott’s recent exhibitions include Journeys for the Curious Mind (Midtown Manhattan, 2025) and A Moving Goodbye(Bushwick, 2021), along with eight consecutive years of participation in Bushwick Open Studios and multiple group shows with TRU Collective in Brooklyn. Her work was longlisted for the 2025 Saatchi Gallery Open Call in London.
Rooted in early training from her father, also an artist, Scott’s practice merges personal history with broader cultural narratives, creating layered, time-based works that invite viewers to witness transformation across both material and meaning.
