Dr Janet Saunder's creative practice incorporates a variety of media including drawing, video and various forms of printmaking techniques. She is currently a Lecturer in Illustration and Visual Storytelling at Western Sydney University. Her practice explores themes surrounding loss, grief and resilience. Her work is often figurative and overlaid with textures and images inspired by the natural world. Her PhD thesis titled, Back to the Drawing Board? investigates the role and value of process drawing in the creative thinking practices of novice graphic designers. Recent exhibitions include:
