Gabriel Sánchez Viveros (México- 1962)
He is a mexican transdisciplinary artist, having studied as an architect at the Autonomous University of Mexico. His work as an architect and artist has led him to be present with his work in various countries such as: the United States, China, Spain, Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, among others.
Gabriel is passionate about creativity and art. Over the years his artistic language has evolved, he uses performance, painting, photography and sculpture to communicate, as well as interactive and virtual media.
Derived from his life experience, Gabriel's visual work takes elements from his daily life, colors, symbols and materials to transform them into living objects that manage to communicate with the viewer. As a visual artist, his work has been recognized on several occasions, including the Tijuana Triennial: I, International Pictorial (México, 2021) the Beijing International Art Biennial, (China 2019) The José Guadalupe Posada Engraving Biennial (Mexico, 2015), among others.
His visual work has been exhibited in more than 35 venues collectively and individually such as: Let's Live Death As Only Mexico Knows How to Do It, IMEX, Madrid, Spain (2020), Rojo, The Artist Next Level, Chicago, USA, Day of the Dead , Embassy of Mexico in Spain, Barcelona, Spain (2020), I breathe therefore I exist, University of the Cloister of Sor Juana, CDMX, Mexico (2021) Postal art, Mombó Gallery Spain and Mexico (2021) The Global Art Competition “United Against CORONA - Express Through Art”, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi, India (2020)
As a creative being and aware of his environment for some months Gabriel has also been developing a work on the subject of migration. Consequently he was part of the diploma course "Migration and protection of refugees" given by the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana. Mexico City, Mexico.s.
