Born in Paris, Lives and
works in Jerusalem, Israel
Since my birth, I have lived in New York, London, Ibiza, Caracas
and Essaouira, to name a few.
Obtained B.A. in
forensic Psychology, Film and Poetry at Brooklyn College, an Master of Social
Work at Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler Accelerated Program and remain a Ph.D
candidate at NYU’s Ehrenkranz School of Social Work.
Throughout my childhood,
adolescence and adulthood, I studied painting, ceramics, crafts and sculpture
in formal and informal settings with known and unknown professional
artists.
I am a published poet and a multidisciplinary artist. In my
paintings light and reflection is utilized to refer to forces of
nature, biblical texts, and the spirituality within the human
experience in the world
Over the years, I have
designed light fixtures, fans, and furniture, via recycling various
materials including wood and marble.
I
made Aliya years after living in Israel on and off as my family had
previously made Aliah. Citizenship was an afterthought and a
technicality. I became religious in between the process.
In the
1990’s ffounded the Rose Institute which worked with
thousands of English speakers in various capacities. The Rose Institute
partnered with Kidum Noar and the Education Ministry for services. Now
called Crossroads, the work with youth continues.
I have created several
commissioned works, including murals on ceramic tiles installed in mikvahs and
other locations in Jerusalem. My paintings have been
exhibited both in solo and group exhibitions in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion.
