Greivin A. Salas is an upcoming Costa Rican artist who expresses an
intense feeling for the beauty, bounty, and mystery of the landscape of
his country. Raised in the natural setting of the rural countryside bounded by
rivers, forests, animals, plants, and commercial horticulture, his work
reflects a unique interpretation of his close connection with the natural world
he was born into.

"The
Living Colors: A Journey into the Transformation of Costa Rican Rural
Landscapes” was launched on YouTube. In this
dream-like video the viewer enters the setting of thick, humid forests filled
with bursts of tropical sunlight. One feel encapsulated within the beauty,
bounty and mystery of a world that conveys the feeling of deep shadows and
bursts of gorgeous color. The collection contains 18 selected pieces. It has
close to 4800 views by May 1st, 2025.
The overall message of his work deals
with a timeless story of human migration and occupation of pristine natural
landscapes, their ensuing transformation, and much needed conservation today. It
raises awareness - through original pieces of art - of the wealth of and the
dangers to the remaining tropical forests in Costa Rica and the world.
Through all his collections one feel encapsulated within the
beauty, bounty and mystery of a world that conveys the feeling of deep shadows
and gorgeous colors.
