> Maryam Sadeghi is a performance artist and theatre director based in Tehran, Iran. She has over 17 years of experience working in ritual-based, physical, and ensemble-driven theatre. Her work focuses on body memory, ceremonial language, and women’s lived experiences under censorship. She holds a degree in Theatre from Tehran University of Art & Architecture and has directed multiple performances in underground and alternative venues in Iran. Her most recent work BAHOON is created with an all-women team, combining Persian mourning rituals and contemporary movement practices.
