Paweł Sadaj is a visual artist, conceptual photographer, graphic designer and filmmaker. In his work, he explores the essence of humanity against the backdrop of social and civilisational processes, examining historical processes and the impact of humankind on the surrounding world and environment.
The visual language of his work stands in stark contrast to the themes he addresses. Art history, particularly painting, has significantly influenced his practice. In his photographic projects, he combines movements and eras, using his means of expression like a brush to juggle canons and symbolism. In creating a final piece, he does not shy away from combining digital and analogue photography with graphic design.
Paweł Sadaj is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Graphic Arts, with degree with special honor in graphic design, poster design, intermedia and theatre set design. He graduated with distinction in 2000. He previously studied artistic photography at the Fine Arts High School in Gdynia. He lives in Warsaw and is a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
