Valentina
Rosa was born in Este in 1991; she lives and works in Padua.
After
the studies in Art and Restoration of Ceramic in Este, she continued
her education at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna, where she
obtained the Bachelor's
and Master's Degree in Sculpture.
During
her studies she had partecipated to many workshops about ceramic and
art in the public context. From 2012 she started to collaborate with
artists and cultural associations as an art educator and for the set
up of events and art exhibitions.
In
2017 she was selected for the one year artist residency announced by
Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation of Venice. Her artworks has been shown
in various exhibitions in the cities of Este, Padua and Palermo, in
the Belmonte Riso Palace; in Bologna, at the Academy of Fine Arts,
the Historical Institute Parri and the Art Forum Contemporary
Gallery; in Venice, thanks to Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation and IED |
European
Institute of Design.
Her
artistic research wants to create new connections between ancient
techniques and contemporary methodologies. Her works include
different media, from sculpture to installation and photography,
focusing on the human figure, on collective and individual identity
and its relationships with the other and the body.
Valentina
Rosa, nata a Este nel 1991, vive e lavora a Padova.
Dopo
gli studi in arte e restauro della ceramica a Este, prosegue la sua
formazione presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, conseguendo
il Diploma di primo e secondo livello in Scultura.
Durante
i suoi studi ha partecipato a diversi workshop sulla ceramica e
sull'arte nel contesto pubblico.
Dal
2012 ha iniziato a collaborare con artisti e associazioni culturali
come educatrice artistica e per l'allestimento di eventi e mostre
d'arte.
Nel
2017 è stata selezionata per l'annuale residenza artistica indetta
dalla Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa di Venezia. Le
sue opere sono state esposte in varie mostre nelle città di Este,
Padova e Palermo, a Palazzo Belmonte del Riso; a Bologna, presso
l'Accademia di Belle Arti, l'Istituto Storico Parri e la Galleria Art
Forum Contemporary; a Venezia, grazie alla Fondazione Bevilacqua La
Masa e allo IED | Istituto Europeo di Design.
La
sua ricerca artistica mira a creare nuove connessioni tra tecniche
antiche e metodologie contemporanee.
Le
sue opere includono
differenti media, a partire dalla scultura, all'installazione, alla
fotografia, per indagare la figura umana, l'identità individuale e
collettiva, le sue relazioni con l'altro e con il corpo.
