RBKM Rops has always been concerned with expressing what he observed and thought on everything that a surface could offer. After a trip through Europe, he went to study political science and philosophy in Leiden, even during this period his urge to create never left him. He made one attempt at an academic education in the arts, but during the first lecture he left the room due to disagreement and then familiarized himself with his methods, techniques and works on his own.

Inspired by (indirect) observations, philosophy and music, he lets himself go in his works to translate what is in his head onto the canvas. Translating insight into canvas. In addition to freedom as a theme in his works, it can also be found in his working method: unbound to a fixed movement or method, uncompromising and decisive. Currently living in the Netherlands and in addition to the arts, he is now also involved in creating AI solutions.
