Angel completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London – Central Saint Martins, along with a six-month BFA (de)Fine Art exchange program at the Willem de Kooning Academy. She is now pursing an MFA in Fine Art at the University of Oxford – Ruskin School of Art.
Having lived in China, Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK, Angel’s diverse experiences inspire a continuous exploration of the relationships, aesthetics, curiosities, and power dynamics between humans and the nonhuman lifeforms that surround us. Through mixed medium of performance, film, sculpture, and installation, Angel discover ways of existing within and beyond the habitual relationships formed with nonhuman lifeforms. Her practice entails motion, spontaneousness, contingency, personal experience, and ethics—seeking an appropriate balance within the social hierarchies shared by humans and other living beings; exploring intriguing perspectives to perceive what commonly surrounds us differently.
