Self-taught Pop Artist. I started drawing in my teens, focusing on female details, using mainly colored pencils. After my first experiences in California, some years after, I started being totally influenced and inspired by California colors and lifestyle, merging my female study and interpretation with the Cali lifestyle. Exploring the use of colors and techniques, I've definitely chosen Pop Art as my art and theoretical framework.
I'm a mixed media artist, using colored pencils on paper, acrylics on canvas and in the recent years digital painting and editing.
With my artworks I try to highlight the Narcissism in the new millennium, focusing on female's details and expressing my true love for California, sometimes mixing the two things, interpreting the "L.A. Woman" of Jim Morrison.
My artworks are an expression of the human behavior study and interpretation, always present in my mind, considering my roots in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience. I see behaviors, I feel emotions, I study human reactions and I traslate all of them in artworks, basically through colors, vivid colors for vivid emotions. I like to translate complex human behavior in simple, colorful and happy artworks, using Pop Art as a powerful expression of my feelings.
