While
attending the Escola d'Arts i Disseny Llotja in Barcelona, graduated in Fashion Design, I completed a 1 accademic year at the
Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia for Costume Design and started
with the emerging brand Lily von Schatten Barcelona. After a few years I attended the
Accademia di Costume e Moda in Rome, to complete a High Fashion
Master, in collaboration with Valentino. Then, I
developed a deep interest in Haute Couture, with a particular focus
on the Embroidery Design and research working inside the Embroidery team at Balmain, Paris.
My Prêt-à-couture brand Lily von Schatten acted as a couture lab: a place where I could keep learning couture techniques and adapt them to the requests of the clients, having the opportunity to be part of all the creative process, from the first sketches or fabric researchings, patterns and cutting, the mock-ups and the final couture dress.
My work concept is to always tell a story with the textiles, embellishments and a very sensitive research that usually involves literature, movies and comics. I have a strong eye for the details and a curious mind. I apply an aesthetic that is both ultrafeminine and sophisticate, sometimes daring. That’s why I love to work in high fashion, because there is always the will to find and experiment with new techniques without forgetting our heritage.
