Rojo Sache is the artistic couple formed by Rosa Isabel Vazquez (Madrid, Spain, 1971) and Jose Antonio Fernandez (Murcia, Spain, 1976).
In their works, the presence of the landscape, understood from a very open perspective, is maintained as an instrument to address issues related to memory, ambiguity and death.
Their works have been exhibited in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina, United States and Chine and participated in Spanish events such as PhotoEspaña (Official Section and Festival Off), Official Section of Outono Fotográfico Festival (Galicia), Fotogenio (Mazarrón), El Sol Festival (Bilbao), Primavera Fotográfica de Albacete, Sonimagfoto (Barcelona), Kontenporanea (Irún) or Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography in Málaga and international ones such as Les Rencontres d’Arles (France), Padova PhotograPhia (Padua, Italy), Encontros da Imagem (Braga, Portugal), Biennale Genovarte (Genoa, Italy) or Photissima Art Fair (Torino, Italy).
Their images have been obtained a lot of awards in international competitions such as Art Laguna Prize (Italy), IPA’s (USA), PX3 Prix de la Photographie de Paris (France), Pollux del International Gala Awards (UK), International Color Awards (USA), Glanzlichter (Germany), Creative Asia Photography Awards (China), Nature’s Best Photography (USA), GDT European Wildlife photographer of the year (Germany), Fine Art Photography Competition (UK), Biennale Genovarte (Italy), International Loupe Awards (Australia), Premio Combat Prize (Italy), Narava (Eslovenia), Beauty Around Us Contest (UK), China International Digital Photography Art Exhibition (China), among others.
Among the spanish prizes, they have been awarded with 12 Lux Awards (Spanish National Awards of Professional Photography), the Artistic Brote Prize awarded by the International Film Festival of the Canary Islands (FICMEC) and the Enaire Foundation Award (selected).
They are the directors of the school of photography La Máquina in Madrid. Besides, they are the authors of the didactic books "Foto a Foto 04" (Photo by Photo 04), “Sin miedo al flash” (Without fear of flash), “Sin miedo al retrato” (Without fear of portrait) and “El proyecto fotográfico personal” (The personal photo project), all from the Foto Ruta collection, J de J Editores.
