Raffaela Rimaboschi
Born in Trieste, Italy, in 1962.
Master's degree in Science for Conservation of Cultural Heritage, University of Florence (IT). Diploma of paintings restoration, School for Art and Restoration of Florence (IT). School of naked drawing, Art Academy of Florence (IT). School of portrait, Daniel Graves - The Florence Academy of Art (IT). Courses of painting, sculpture and drawing, Academy of Beaux Art, Arlon (BE).
Until 2017, I lived in Florence where I worked in the field of conservation and restoration of Cultural Heritage through my own company Artconservation, cooperating with important museums, cultural institutions and Universities in Italy and abroad. From the 2001, I taught “TheoryofRestoration”and“RestorationandArtisticTechniques”intheUniversityofCagliariandFerrara.
After many years of commitment in my job, I decided to take a sabbatical. I currently live between Italy and Belgium, devoting myself completely to artistic creation, my great passion ever.
My work covers mostly figurative paintings, drawings and sculptures exploring the hidden parts of human mind and soul. I’mattractedbytheunknownpowerofthebrainandhowemotionscanimpactonthehumanbody. InmyworksIusedifferenttechniques,fromtraditionalItalianmethodsforpreparationofcolours and supports, to synthetic materials that lead me to look for new expressive forms.
I’m part of L’écArt (Belgium) and Rivel’Art Trieste (Italy) artists’ associations with which I participate in group exhibitions in Italy and northern Europe
