The colors of her city and the warmth of the Mediterranean people are elements that have stimulated the artistic sensitivity of Sonia, placing her interest in an artistic path of painting in sharp contrast with the technical studies done initially. This path has been marked by oppositions of thought, linked to the experience of life and condensed into shadows and curves, where white and black prevail, and then evolved into a wider opening to the light and to the multidimensionality typical of variegated sockets of conscience, less introverted and without doubt more communicative and emotional.
In order to improve the pictorial technique, Sonia participated in several art-related courses, not least that of advertising graphics.
Signs that trace the space like furrows imprinted in the canvas, trajectories that branch off over the time and space in search of their origins. A path between light and shadow, in which the sign becomes a tool for convulsive investigation.
