My name is Riccardo Guano Bernardi, I sign my works with RGB I live in Veneto.
I have an Highschool Diploma in Electronics and Telecom, actually I work in cartotechnique sector as skilled worker. I love contemporary art due to its universal message. I am a selflearning in the Art.
I decided to confirm my presence at ArteLaguna Prize 18.19 with my personal project in the painting section (over 25 years category).
The proposal of my selected artworks, keeps inside a best mature approach done respect to some time ago.The entire work has been made with a personal study on the choice of the theme to represent and technical method, both.
The name of the project is: 'The addiction by media controls'.
The project aims to represent the total conquest of the media controls (command interfaces) played by humans to get into every kind of function or message.
The continuos use of the media control (aka player control) is an obliged step to get through every type of multimedia contents.
Nowadays the entire people life remains strictly linked to this digital ways, despite to other ones.
To take this perception into a personal artistic view my project brings abstract expressive ideas into canvas, using 2 stilistic parts working together: the Modal (most immediate, 'figurative') and the Amodal (most reflexive, 'programmed').
At the centre of the canvas, the Modal part permits to represent in a recognizable way the symbol of the media control.
Around this part there is the Amodal part. This one allows, by the use of selfmade optical module, to represent a sort of celebral reconstruction of the view of the symbol, the so called addiction by media controls.
Observing the canvas, the viewer notes as the extro-verted central part (the modal one), recalls the corrent use of the media control: the spatial detachment beyond the canvas materic plane, gets inside the meaning of that 'click' of that 'push to make'.
The viewer going to look, the other optical part (the amodal one), receives in its eye that typical dynamism given by the programmed effect.
In this 'alliance' of expressions, the abstract dialogue between the geometric lines and the echoes of the programmed effect, gives at the observer the role of witness of its canvas eye response, while in the the ordinary life, day by day, it is involved in the addiction by the media controls.
