My Name is Reza Ghotbi, an emerging contemporary artist working primarily in oil painting. His work focuses on themes of perception, transition, and the relationship between space and human presence.
Through reduced compositions and symbolic environments, he explores moments of stillness and psychological tension — spaces in which figures appear as observers rather than actors. His paintings often depict thresholds, both physical and internal, inviting reflection on awareness, identity, and the act of seeing.
Working with a restrained color palette and an emphasis on light as a structural and conceptual element, his practice bridges figurative painting with a more contemplative, almost metaphysical atmosphere.
Currently I developed a cohesive body of work centered on the concept of observation and liminal space
