Helga Renders is an award-winning painter and sculptor based in Belgium where she has widely exhibited her works, as well as in the Netherlands. She enjoys painting people and faces, which she describes as an exploration of "what's inside". Renders' subjects are variable and are conveyed through her unique style. Her artistic process begins with capturing an image through photography, of a subject she finds interesting, which she then paints with pigmented acrylics on linen or cotton supports.
As a Self-taught painter she brings a fragile sensitivity and melancholy in her  realistic work. Her art is expressive, combined with an inner strength. She expresses herself using colours and light to create a surreal world.
