Lun Ren is a China artist and Teacher of Central Academy of Fine Arts. His master degree later graduated in Fine Art, University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Arts in 2015, and bachelor graduated in Video Art, China Central Academy of Fine Arts. He lives and works in Beijing.
Encompassing film, Videos, installation, photography, Sound, and publishing. Lun"s practice explores visual images in the web by contemporary forced identity politics, authenticity, violence and monitoring of the network. Deeply informed by the avant-garde cinema and fluxus and the vernacular traditions of his native China, Lun's approach develops visual narratice at the intersection of temporal images and noise. Combining documentary and conceptual practices, he investigates question of self-representation, autonomous agency, and forms of resistance of communities rendered in visible by the network model.
