Xenia Raw, born in 1988 in Moscow, is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in cinematography and experience in theatre, based in Georgia.
The main theme of her art is error as the key to humanity, which she explores through the prism of acute social themes and political systems. Since emigration in 2022 Xenia focused on her personal career in contemporary art and incorporated previous experience in shaping her personal style.
She participated as a performer and video artist in the creation of performances by Golden Mask winners ("RODINA" and “ZANOS” by Sorokin), made video art for Pushkin Theatre, created lazer scenography opposition performance in the Kremlin of Nizhny Novgorod (which was very brave) and made a documentary film at the Tolstoy festival in Yasnaya Polyana.
Now Xenia is represented by Helm Contemporary gallery in New York. She lives on the road, since 2022 has been working on new artpieces in Armenia, Turkey, Thailand, the UAE and Georgia.
