Living 11 years together as a couple, artists Rafael Silveira and Flávia Itiberê turned their intense coexistence into an uninterrupted creative process. Flávia's research in the textile field, with her wealth knowledge of references and materials, added forces with Rafael's pictorial universe opening the way for a peculiar and affectionate artistic dialogue.
The artists found in the embroidery a powerful language to express their ideas. Sometimes light and floating, their works appears with loosing lines surrounded by immaterial graphic paintings made by his projected shadows. In another approach, the female protagonism is evidenced with delicate figurative constructions. The experimental character of the collaborative work can be seen from diversity of materials and unexpected possibilities giving a fresh, curious feeling to the spectator's experience.
The works of the duo Rafael Silveira and Flávia Itiberê has been exhibited through important institutions such as Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba and the Fiesp Cultural Center in São Paulo.
