QIU Yangzi (Yangzi). London-based Chinese visual artist integrate analog photography into other art forms with philosophical concepts. Born and raised in Shantou, a seaside city of Guangdong Province in China, Yangzi earned her Master degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She received diplomas from the Royal College of Art and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. She learned from a couple of renowned art photography masters in US, Europe and China with firmed 19th century analog photography techniques practise since 2012. The photography process she use including 8 by 10 large format photography (gelatin silver and collodion tintype and ambrotype), Cyanotype, Soil Chromatography and Chemigram. She create artworks in three dimensions as well including lost-wax bronze sculpture.
